Hayao Miyazaki, one of Japan's greatest animation directors, is well know for his breathtaking anime. he made loads of animes, such as Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke.
I was caught up by Miyazaki's immense imagination. The movie has rich background in detail. I watched the movie and became so inspired. The scenery in the first battle reveals the beauty of the forest. Kodama are a spirit in Japanese folklore that inhabits in luminous trees. They have white skin with grey glowing skin. With the peek of lights through the trees, it creates a relieving panorama quite effortlessly. The beautiful scenery in the movies makes a harmony resonance with my practice.

Jackson, P. (2009) The Art of Avatar. New York: The ABRA<S The Art Book since 1994
As a painter, I am interested in the components of any fantasy spaces, and how people create a space with their own imagination. The most important is the consideration and use of lights. Watching the movie, Avatar, you can picture the fascinating scene into any paintings. Jackson(2009, P.7) suggested the jungles of Pandora glow with bioluminescent plant life: it is an environment that is as frightening as it is beautiful.
In the movie, Avatar, it is embedded in all kinds of fluorescent plants and creatures, I look at the wood sprites, according to Jackson (2009, P.97), with the lightness of a dandelion seed and the subtle movement of a pulsating jellyfish, the wood sprites are designed to float along in bands of hundreds in and through the Pandora air. The wood sprites floating on the wind, with its glow-in-dark colour, a tranquil atmosphere.

Robert Stromberg is a special effects artist, his creation of Pandora landscape constitutes the composition of the famous scene in the movie, the floating mountains. During the night scenes in the movie, the floating mountains along with the dark forest, willow trees, it pictures peaceful and quiet scenery.
Dylan Cole is an American digital matte - painter and concept artist specializing in work for film, television, and video games. He is best known for his work featuring films such as The Lord of the Rings, Avatar and Alice in Wonderland.

I found the most appealing thing in his work is the way he uses colours. In his artwork, it contains great contrast of bright colours and dark colours. He always uses neon colours as the light, creating a glow in dark effects, and a numbers of lines along buildings. These creates motion and speed. In his practice, the main colours are cool-tone colours, blue, navy, purple and green. He makes really photo - realistic art, captures the scene very vivid. His works are full of imaginations, creates pictures which only appear in science fiction, such as with modern architectures, planets in the sky and spaceship, which are the main element in his work. The sensitivity of light and the way they are layered, the colour composition of the images are the main factors that contribute to why his artworks are so appealing.
Karin Mamma Andersson
Karin Mamma Andersson is interested in nature and art history. She created a series of painting called "The Best Storyteller". She creates her own spaces in her painting. Her paintings of interior spaces all contain television sets. The walls in the painting, "The Best Storyteller I", are each different landscape paintings. It creates illusion for audiences of reaching into the paintings and out of the room. As the televisions in the painting are switched on, it allows viewers to feel as if they can assess to anywhere without any boundaries by going into the monitors.
